Our math block always begin with a Number Talks session where students use and share various mental math strategies.

Students are assigned multiplication facts to work on at home. Hopefully with regular review they can improve their accuracy. Every week we will focus on a set of facts.

For the first month we will be working on number sense and numeration. Students will be representing whole numbers up to 1 000 000. They will also be using addition, subtraction, multiplication and division to solve application problems.
